*Children must be at least 12 years old to use the range. Children under 18 must be accompanied on the range by a parent and supervised at all times. Caliber restrictions will apply to all minors at the discretion of the range staff.

REQUIREMENTS TO SHOOT

Signed Liability Waiver

To speed up the check-in process, customers are encouraged to sign the Liability Waiver.

Firearms

  • All firearms brought onto the property must be in a bag, box, or case. Active Duty Law Enforcement Displaying Badge Excluded.
  • All firearms must be unloaded (Active Duty Law Enforcement Displaying Badge Excluded).
  • Open Carry of Firearm is NOT permitted at the range. (Active Duty Law Enforcement Displaying Badge Excluded).
  • Concealed Carry of Firearm is NOT permitted at the range (Active Duty Law Enforcement Displaying Badge Excluded).
  • All Firearms brought onto the property will be inspected for compliance.

Ammunition

  • Use of Steel Core, Green Tips, and tracer ammunition is not permitted on the range. Shotguns are permitted with Slugs only.
  • All ammunition brought onto the property will be inspected.

Hearing Protection

  • Double hearing protection is required for minors.
  • Double hearing protection is recommended for individuals with sensitive hearing.

Eye Protection

  • All shooters must wear eye protection.
  • Eye protection helps protect from a variety of hazards.

Range Safety Video

First Time Customers are required to watch a short Range Safety Video. To speed up the check-in process, Customers are encouraged to watch the video online.


Customers who choose to watch the safety video online should be prepared to answer the following question: Name the 3 fundamental rules of Firearm Safety.

Photo ID

  • All shooters age 18 & older MUST have a Government-issued photo ID.
  • A Pistol License (Permit) is NOT required to shoot at the range.

RANGE SAFETY RULES

Montgomery Indoor Shooting Complex reserves the right to REFUSE range access to anyone.

  • NO RAPID FIRE SHOOTING. ONE ROUND PER SECOND MAX.
  • Valid picture identification is required to enter the range.
  • All Federal, State and Local firearm laws must be obeyed.
  • No convicted felons or persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs are allowed.
  • Persons under 21 must be accompanied by a parent at all times. Exceptions may be allowed, on a case by case basis, at the discretion of the Range Safety Officer.
  • Commands issued by the Range Personnel must be obeyed immediately and without question.
  • When the command "Cease Fire" is given, stop shooting IMMEDIATELY, remove your finger from the trigger, keep the gun pointed in a safe direction, wait for further instructions from the Range Personnel.
  • Cross firing of targets is prohibited.
  • No one other than Range personnel may go forward of the firing line. 
  • All firearms not on the firing line must be in a bag or case, and unloaded.
  • Never pass your firearms to another person until the cylinder or action is open and you have visually checked that it is unloaded.
  • Load and unload weapons and magazines inside of the booth only.
  • Never bring a loaded weapon out of the range. If your gun malfunctions, lay it in the booth facing down range and notify the range master or range personnel.
  • No holster or quick draw shooting allowed on the range.
  • Always keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to fire.
  • Never point a firearm at anyone, always have your firearms pointed in a safe direction. Treat every firearm as if it were loaded.   Check and recheck.
  • Shotgun slugs may be fired. No buckshot or birdshot may be fired on the range.
  • Tracer, armor piercing and steel core ammunition are prohibited.
  • Everyone must wear eye and hearing protection at all times while in the range.
  • Food, beverages and smoking are prohibited on the range. (Smoking is prohibited throughout the building).
  • Range Personnel reserve the right to inspect any firearms or ammunition for safety considerations.
  • Only one person may be shooting in a booth at a time unless accompanied by an instructor
  • Always wash your hands after shooting.
  • “Low Cut” shirts and “open toed” shoes are strictly prohibited on the Range. 
  • Expecting Mothers are not permitted on the range at any time.
  • EACH SHOOTER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE HE / SHE CAUSES.
  • FAILURE TO ABIDE BY THESE RULES MAY RESULT IN A LOSS OF SHOOTING PRIVILEGES AND OR YOUR REMOVAL FROM THE RANGE. THE ABOVE REGULATIONS ARE FOR YOUR SAFETY AS WELL AS OURS.

About Our State-of-the-art, Climate Controlled Facility

  • Range Dimensions 40' x 65'
  • Range Area: 2,600 square feet
  • Air Conditioner Capacity: 40 tons
  • Furnace Capacity: 800,000 BTUs
  • Air Flow: 24,000 cubic feet per minute
  • Fan Diameter: 8 feet.
  • Fan Motor Size: 75 hp, with variable frequency drive.
  • The air handler is the size of an 18-wheeler truck.
  • There is 1 air duct for each shooter.
  • The air handler uses so much power that a dedicated electrical utility had to be constructed.
  • Air Exchange Rate: 52 seconds (all the air in the range is filtered and recirculated every 52 sec).
  • Number of Air Filters: 75
  • Cost to replace Air Filters: Over $7,000
  • Temperature: 70-75 degrees at all times
  • Humidity: 30%-60% at all times
  • Cost of Air Handling System: $260,000 (1,000 per square foot). The range has a negative atmospheric pressure. This prevents toxins from leaving the room when the doors are opened.
  • The Climate Control System has its own Internet Static IP address. All vital systems are remotely monitored and controlled online. If a hazardous condition is sensed, an alarm will sound, and the system will shut down.
